Intestinal ultrasound has become an essential diagnostic tool in modern clinical practice, offering a safe, non-invasive, and cost-effective approach to evaluating ever-increasing spectrum of diseases such as acute appendicitis, acute diverticulitis, intestinal obstruction, intestinal ischemia, neoplasms, as well as other rare conditions. However the most important application of this method concerns inflammatory bowel diseases.

This informational seminar aims not only at highlighting the fundamental principles of intestinal ultrasound, but also at fostering familiarity with the most clinically significant findings in inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), as well as in non -IBD pathologies.
