Dr Diana Crișan is a boardcertified, senior physician dermatologist at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology, University Hospital Ulm, Germany, where she contributes to both the clinical and scientific activities of the Skin Cancer Centre. Her work spans dermatologic surgery, oncodermatology and advanced diagnostic dermatology, with a particular focus on integrating imaging technologies into clinical decisionmaking. She is also a DEGUMcertified physician in dermatologic ultrasound.

Her research centers on highfrequency ultrasound in dermatology, encompassing both in vivo and ex vivo applications. She was involved in projects investigating ex vivo ultrasound for surgical margin assessment and tumor characterization in skin cancer, supporting the development of imagingassisted workflows aimed at increasing precision in oncologic surgery and reducing the number of surgical stages in Mohs or micrographically controlled procedures.
