It is a portable, radiation-free imaging method that allows direct visualisation of joints, tendons, bursae and ethenses, while providing at the same time real time information on the presence of synovitis, tendonoelytritis, bursitis, fluid collection and enthesitis, as well as stuctural alternations.<\/p>\n<p>This seminar aims to teach the basic principles of\u00a0 muskuloskeletal ultrasound, proper image adjustement\/ optimisation and systematic identification of the main antomical structures, with emphasis of the interpretation of findings in Gray Scale and Power Doppler. The educational approach will focus mainly on rheumatological pathologies, with extention to important orthopedic differential diagnoses.
