Τhomas Desmidt
Psychiatrist
Thomas Desmidt is MD, PhD in Psychiatry, expert in Old Age Psychiatry. He’s the Head of the Department of Old Age Psychiatry, University Hospital of Tours, France and a Member of the research lab INSERM Unit “IBrain”
His work focuses on the developpement of new treatments for Depression and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as characterizing the neuropathology of Depression, Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, especially using neuroimaging and Ultrasound.
He leads the “Neuropsychiatry” axis of excellence in research for the university hospital of Tours, France. He’s in charge of the academic diploma of old age psychopathology, Tours, France and a Member of the pedagogical committee of the academic diploma of Alzheimer’s disease, Lille, France.
