Ilias Ninios is Interventional Cardiologist specialized also in Cardiac Imaging.
After receiving his specialization in Germany, he came back to Greece 10 years ago. He completed his Doctoral Thesis at the Aristoteles Medical School of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and works both in Interbalkan Medical Center and Heart Center in Thessaloniki.
He is the Head of the ECHO and Cardiac MRI Lab in the 2nd Cardiological Department of Interbalkan Medical Center, where numerous stress echo, TOE (2d,3d), advanced echo techniques, as well as Cardiac MRI and stress MRI studies are performed on a daily basis.
He has extensive experience in coronary interventions and TAVI, while he performs also all the Interventional Imaging needed during m-TEER and t-TEER procedures. He is tutor of interventional imaging in m-TEER and t-TEER operations both in Greece and abroad. He has participated in numerous multicenter studies and has published various original articles in peer-reviewed journals.
