

Filothei Chatzispyroglou
Pediatrician – Pediatric Gastroenterologist
Filothei Chatzispyroglou is a pediatrician with specialization in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
After graduating from Democritus University of Thrace, she obtained her specialty in Pediatrics following five years of training in the pediatric departments of Klinikum Arnsberg and Christophorus Kliniken Coesfeld (teaching hospitals affiliated with the University of Münster, Germany), as well as at EvK Lippstadt, Gemany.
She subsequently completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the tertiary care hospital St. Vincenz Paderborn, a teaching hospital of the University of Göttingen, Germany, where she performed a large number of elective and emergency upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies. At the same time, she was trained in abdominal and intestinal ultrasonography and conducted hundreds of abdominal and retroperitoneal ultrasound examinations in children and adolescents with gastroenterological conditions attending the outpatient pediatric gastroenterology clinic.
In addition, she was responsible for performing all ultrasound examinations for emergency cases in the Pediatric Department of St. Vincenz Paderborn. Her training in pediatric ultrasonography (abdominal ultrasound, cranial ultrasound in infants, and soft tissue ultrasound) was formally recognized with the DEGUM Level 1 certification, following evaluation and successful practical examination by the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM).
After 14 years of training and professional experience in Germany, she returned to Greece, specifically to Serres, where she has been running a private practice since October 2024. She also collaborates with Agios Loukas Clinic in Thessaloniki, where she performs upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies and follows up children and adolescents with gastroenterological disorders.
