Upper Abdominal Ultrasound in Pediatric Patients – Basic Knowledge
500,00 €
Abdominal and intestinal ultrasonography in children and adolescents is a safe, non-invasive, and low-cost diagnostic method that does not require special patient preparation. When properly applied and performed by a sufficiently experienced examiner, it can replace outdated examinations of limited diagnostic value (e.g., abdominal X-ray), as well as higher-cost examinations that involve exposure to ionizing radiation (e.g., abdominal computed tomography). Therefore, it is recommended as a fundamental tool in modern clinical practice for the diagnosis and follow-up of children and adolescents with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
This seminar aims not only to teach the fundamental principles of gastrointestinal ultrasonography, but also to familiarize participants with the most clinically significant findings in its pathology.
