Otorhinolaryngologist
Konstantinos Mantsopoulos is a Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the University Hospital Erlangen–Nuremberg and an Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In parallel, he runs a private practice in Thessaloniki, equipped with a state-of-the-art ultrasonography system. He has extensive surgical experience, having performed over 10,000 surgical procedures, with particular expertise in functional endoscopic surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses, salivary gland surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and head and neck oncology.
He has longstanding teaching experience, both in Greece and abroad, with a primary focus on head and neck ultrasonography. In his capacity as an instructor and course organizer, he has trained a large number of physicians and has organized more than twenty structured educational ultrasound courses. His scientific interest in ultrasonography is reflected in 28 peer-reviewed publications in this field, and he was awarded the Annual Prize of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) in 2015. He is certified as ultrasound – instructor at Level III (highest level) by the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM). His academic output includes numerous publications in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals, as well as active participation in international scientific conferences and educational seminars.
