Pulmonologist – Tuberculosis Specialist

Anastasia Kyriatzi is a Pulmonologist – Tuberculosis Specialist. After graduating with Honors from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), she trained in the full spectrum of Pulmonology at the Pulmonology Clinic of Theresienkrankenhaus in Mannheim, Germany, where she subsequently obtained, following examinations, her Specialty title, as well as her specialization in Sleep Medicine (Medical Association Nordbaden). During her specialty training, she trained in the use of transthoracic ultrasound (lungs and heart), as well as in Interventional Pulmonology (Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Navigation – Bronchoscopy, Thoracoscopy, and Pleural Catheter Implantation).

She worked as the scientific head of the COVID department of the same hospital, specialized in the Sleep Laboratory, in the Non-Invasive Ventilation Engineering Department with patient adaptation to NIV devices for home use, in the Weaning Center – aimed at weaning tracheostomized patients from the ventilator, as well as in the Lung Cancer Oncology Center. She trained for 14 months in the ICU of Ludwigshafen Clinic (use of ECMO, extracorporeal circulation system, and IMPELA). She has many years of active participation in the educational seminars of the German Sleep Society (DGSM), the German Respiratory Society (DGP), as well as in the European certification program for thoracic ultrasound of the European Respiratory Society (Thoracic ultrasound certified training programme, ERS).
